Others on the praised list Kellie Pickler, Lucy Hale, and Nicole Kidman (wife of winner Keith Urban). In an unusual switch-up, the Taylor Swift song "Shake it Off" returns to the top of the singles chart this week. The song was first way back on September 6 for two weeks, but then Meghan Trainorbumped Swift out for the past eight weeks with "All About That Bass." The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences appoints Bob Mauro as its new president. Mauro is a former CBS vice president of network operations and Leo Burnett Worldwide COO. Two potential blockbusters opening this weekend could ignite the box office in one of the fiercest battles ever. "Interstellar" is a sci-fi epic directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain. "Big Hero 6" after big success with "Frozen" and "Wreck It Ralph." Oscar-winning screenwriter Alexander Payne is finally getting a passion project off the ground. With the signing of Matt Damon for a lead role, the long-gestating dramedy "Downsizing" will go into production. Written with collaborator Jim Taylor, the film is about humans who have perfected shrinking themselves to save resources in the near future. Payne and Taylor have been shopping the script since 2009. Netflix is bringing Lemony Snicket back to life. The online provider will be a live-action series based on the "Series of Unfortunate Events" book series. The big screen version in 2004 starred Jim Carrey but was a dud. Carrey and the other movie actors are not expected to be involved.
