The beginning of Manzil was a non-benefit support bunch called 'Exceptional Families Support' which was begun by our Director Dr Ayesha Husaini on ninth December 1999. The gathering developed to more than 200 individuals and is one of GCC's most seasoned non-benefit bunches zeroing in on the social incorporation of people with inability.

The care group bloomed into "Manzil", a non-benefit Center that was formally introduced on February seventh 2005 by Sheikha Jameela Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. Signifying "Objective" in Urdu or "Home" in Arabic, Manzil takes into account 42 understudies with mental handicaps (from 4 years onwards) with a staff of 27 making it a profoundly subjective focus with an essentially low understudy to staff proportion. The normal experience of our school personnel in the handicap field is north of 13 years.

The association is currently spreading its wings further and is crossing worldwide boundaries, doing considerable research and consultancy and is additionally involved as scholarly join forces with Governmental substances.

Our Mission is to actively promote inclusion by providing a professional learning environment for persons with disability to nurture their potential & develop the requisite self help, social, educational & vocational skills that are required to function in society. Why are we unique? At Manzil we work towards shaping an inclusive society. Inclusion is recognizing our universal ‘oneness’ and interdependence; that we are ‘one’ even though we are not the ‘same’. While researchers define inclusion within an educational concept, to us inclusion is more than merely studying together. It is about having equal opportunities for all, being accepted for what one is, being together, working together, living together…
