The most basic method of measuring liquid level is to use a seeing glass. The liquid level may be seen through the sight glass, which is mounted to the outside of the tank. The main downside of this approach is that it only provides a localised level indication.

When a portion of the vessel is made of transparent material or the liquid in a vessel is routed through a transparent tube, a visual indication of the level can be obtained. The benefit of employing stop valves with a bypass pipe is the ease with which they may be removed for cleaning.

Noble Glass Works is the most reputed and noted Sight glass manufacturer in Ahmedabad.

Types of Level Gauges:? Transparent Level Gauge:

Transparent Level Gauges have two transparent glasses on each side, each containing a liquid chamber. Because of the difference in the transparent qualities of the two mediums, the liquid level is indicated. An illuminator is installed on the backside of the gauge for water/steam applications, with its light beams diverted upward into the water column.

As light rays impinging on the surface of separation between water and steam are reflected back to the observer's sight, the observer can see the lit surface of the water.

Noble Glass Works is the most popular and prevalent Sight Flow Indicator manufacturer in India.

  • Magnetic Level Gauge:
The liquid level in the liquid chamber, which corresponds to the level in the tank, is followed by a float-containing magnet. A bi-coloured flapper embedded with a magnet on the outside of the chamber indicates the position of the float inside the chamber by rotating 180 degrees and setting into uniform colour along the float's traverse.

If you are looking for the most remarkable, as well as distinct manufacturer and supplier of PTFE Lined sight glass, Noble Glass Works is the name you can count on.

  • Reflex Level Gauge:
The difference in the refractive indices of liquid and vapour is the basis for Reflex Level Gauges. The liquid column is contained behind the sight glass, which is clamped to the gauge body, in the recess of the liquid chamber. On the side facing the liquid and vapour region, the sight glass has prismatic right-angled grooves. Depending on whether they penetrate the liquid or vapour region, light rays arriving from outside the gauge are either absorbed or reflected. When a beam of light strikes the surface of one of the grooves in the vapour space, it is reflected on the opposite surface of the grooves and then completely reflected back to the viewing direction.

As a result, the vapour space seems to be silvery white. The light ray is completely absorbed when it hits the surface of the grooves in the liquid region, making the liquid behind the glass look black. These gauges are used to check the level of a container.
