Amazon Echo Login: Sign in to Alexa in your browser

As logins base official website announced to set up your Amazon Echo speaker or call up Alexa functions without a speaker, you can also use Amazon Echo to log in to the virtual assistant Alexa in the browser. This gives you remote access to the functions of your Alexa devices. GIGA explains what you should consider and what you can do if the Amazon Echo login does not work.

If you have an Amazon Echo speaker, you can use the Amazon Alexa app to log in to change speaker settings or set up Alexa. Registration is necessary, for example, to register a new loudspeaker in the WLAN. If you don't have a smartphone at hand, you can conveniently use the Amazon Echo login in your web browser.

The Amazon Echo login also works in the browser and thus on the laptop, PC, Mac, or even on the smartphone. In principle, this is the Alexa app that you open in a conventional browser. To sign in to your Amazon Echo account:

Open the Alexa website.

Enter the access data that you also use for the normal Amazon login, i.e., email address and the associated password.

Then click on "Sign in."

If you have activated two-factor authentication for your Amazon account, you may have to approve the login.

Then you get to the Alexa start page and can manage various functions there, for example. Unlock new skills, activate smart home devices, or even activate new Alexa devices. You can also see the history of the last Alexa commands. In the account, you can find out which commands your linked Amazon speakers last heard and what was answered.

It all works even if you don't have an Echo speaker at hand. Of course, the Amazon Echo login on the computer only makes sense if you actually own the speaker and it is linked to the Alexa app. In the account, you make many settings for your speaker.

For example, you can set the standard music service here, manage your Audible account or add additional smart home devices for Alexa control. You can also control the volume of your Alexa speakers online in the browser or activate devices remotely without voice control.

Amazon Echo login not working? Solutions & Help

If the Amazon Echo login does not work as described above, you should try the following solutions:

Make sure you entered the email address and password correctly.

It is easy to make mistakes, especially when it comes to upper and lower case letters.

Maybe Amazon is down and not available at the moment.

If in doubt, Amazon customer service will help you.

To the login

Of course, you have to be online to log in. If you use the Alexa app on your smartphone, you should make sure that the phone is connected to the internet. This also applies if you want to log into Alexa in the browser on your computer.
