It gets more complicated.

According to their terms, you have to submit a written cancellation request "15 days before the beginning of the Renewal Term" through their customer portal or by emailing them at billing@a2hosting.com.

What happens if you don't meet this time frame of 15 days? You'll be responsible for paying for the next renewing plan. This renews automatically. You're also not eligible to receive a reimbursement.

• Limitations apply to the Cheapest Plan.

The initial price for A2 Hosting's most affordable shared hosting service ("Startup") can be $2.99/month. It's not the lowest price we've seen, but it's pretty decent.

There are many limitations to this lowest-costing plan. There is only one website, 100GB of storage on SSD, but you're not getting automatic backups and server Rewind features. It leaves you wondering what the most affordable plan is only there to advertise a reasonable price, while the most useful features needed to build a website begin at a slightly higher-priced plan.
