Advantages of Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders

A great advantage that telescopic cylinders enjoy over any other kind of cylinders is about their ability to supply a remarkably long stroke from the compact initial package. Collapsed length of a typical telescopic cylinder is from 20% to 40 percent of their extensive length. Thus, as soon as mounting space is partial, and the application requires a long stroke, the telescopic hydraulic cylinder is the only solution.

For instance, a dump body requires being slanted at 60° to drain completely. A trailer when fixed with a rod-type cylinder with a single-piece barrel & stroke long enough to attain the angle, the body couldn’t return to the horizontal orientation to travel just because of the length of the cylinder, even while fully retracted. Telescopic cylinders prove to be an easy solution to this trouble which can easily be obtained from any hydraulic cylinders manufacturer.Telescopic hydraulic cylinder is a relatively simple device, excluding that their successful application needs an understanding of the components' idiosyncrasy. Knowledge of telescopic hydraulic cylinder supplier & how the telescopic cylinders work withwhat special application criterion to be considered will facilitate you to procure them economically and safely.

About the Product

As can be inferred from the name, telescopic cylinders are made like a telescope. Various sections of steel tubes with consecutively smaller diameters rest inside each other. Largest diameter section, called the barrel or main; the movable smaller-diameter section is known as stages; smallest stage is called the plunger. Number of maximum moving stages could be six.

These cylinders normally enlarge from the largest stages to the smallest. That means that the largest stage along with all smaller stages inside will move first, & complete its stroke prior to the next stage. This procedure will persist for each stage till the smallest-diameter is fully extended. On the contrary, when retracting, smallest-diameter stage would retract fully before next stage starts moving. This continues till all stages are rested back in the main.

The Basic Design Types are:

There are basically two types of telescopic hydraulic cylinders, the single and the double-acting. The single-acting cylinders extend with hydraulic pressure & rely on external mechanical force or some gravity for retraction. The double-acting cylinders are retracted & extended using pneumatic or hydraulic power in both directions. They are more intricate in design as compared with the single-acting type.

We provide the following specifications in it:

  1. Longer sleeve overlaps for improved stability & higher column loading.
  2. They have nylon tipped screws that match the shapes of the stuffing nut threads. It’s nearly impractical for the packed nut to move away accidentally.
  3. They have glass-filled bearings which absorbs contaminants without damaging the cylinder walls.
  4. There is threaded steel stop ring for easier servicing & more reliable stop action.
  5. The external packing nut gives added support to the exterior of the tube while making service procedure easier.
  6. The polyurethane rod wiper resists higher temperatures with no extrusion.

7. There are manual air bleeders which prevent cavitations& "mushy" cylinder action.Essem Engineers are occupied hydraulic cylinders manufacturer, which provides telescopic cylinders to the telescopic hydraulic cylinder supplier. The telescopic hydraulic cylinders are used widely in the construction industries for a variety of procedures. These cylinders are highly sturdy, are made using latest expertise, & the machinery used for making them are high tech.
