For more than four decades, Messung has been at the leading edge of industrial automation solutions were orchestrated by Mr. Farook Merchant in 1981 with the founding of the company and its development of India’s first indigenous PLC. Messung started out as India's first indigenous PLC manufacturer, with the first PLC installed at Kirloskar Oil Engines, Pune, in 1984. It was a 1-bit processor-based PLC that revolutionised industrial automation & control solutions in India, replacing the traditional relay contactor logic. Displayed at various trade shows and industry exhibitions, it attracted rave reviews and earned the company many awards.

Thus began a long journey of prolific innovation and accolades, as Messung continued to develop an award-winning product line that was pathbreaking in its time.

From Messung’s launch of the Meprolog-H - India’s first indigenous PLC - in 1984 to the more recent NX-ERA series of PLCs and the XM-PRO series of Remote I/Os, Messung has strived for the last 4 decades to design and deliver automation solutions that elevate performance across industries.
