Microsoft has launched the 2022 Release Wave 1 plan Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Microsoft released the most recent plan to enhance and update Dynamics 365 Business Central. It was published on April 1, 2022. The Business Central 2022 Release Wave 1 document lists the features that will be available from April 2022 to September 2022. It also includes the availability of the Power Platform connector, country expansion, and enhancements to Teams integration.

Some functionality may not be available as planned due to the fact that certain features may not release within the specified timelines. Let's now take a look at Microsoft's Business Central 2022 Wave 1 release.

Microsoft introduced Business Central in 2022's release wave 1.

Development –

Microsoft continues to invest in tooling enhancements for developers. This includes stronger AL language and new Telemetry features.

Administration and governance -

Business Central 2022 release wave 1 features new governance and administration capabilities to aid IT professionals and administrators in setting up managed licensing and permissions.

Microsoft Power Platform

Microsoft Dataverse integration will be improved in 2022 release wave 1. Power Automate features with the new Microsoft Power Platform connector have been improved. This makes it easier to automate workflows directly from Business Central pages.

Modern Clients -

The portfolio of clients has been improved with the aim of improving usability and accessibility. Features like copy link from the Share menu, new desktop client that delivers full web client experience on the desktop are listed in the Microsoft Store.

Customer onboarding simplified -

Every release has a key focus on onboarding. Dynamics 365 Business Central provides a guided introduction option to help customers personalize their system, increase productivity and accelerate customer onboarding.

Reporting –

Every business user, from both sides of the table, needs to be able to report in order to gain insight into potential growth and share data to support business planning discussions. Microsoft released Business Central 2022 wave 1 with new capabilities for financial reports, including account schedules, report layout administration pages, and an excel layout feature.
