Canada is a land of opportunities for those immigrants who are highly skilled workers and looking forward to being a permanent resident of the country. There are various skilled workers programs that offer Canada PR to those candidates who are eligible.

  1. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Canada has 10 provinces and 3 states. Each of them has its own provincial nominee programs with different requirements for eligibility. This Provincial Nominee Program is managed under Express Entry. Most of the PNPs must have a relationship with the province in order to apply for provincial nomination. However, other programs only accept international candidates who are capable of meeting the provincial labour market needs to get Canada PR.

  1. Work Permit

Candidates who are already working in Canada and have expressed an interest in permanently settling in the country but are not qualified to get Canada PR can apply for a temporary work permit. Candidates might gain experience while working on a temporary work visa in the meantime.

  1. Quebec Immigration

In comparison to the other provinces and territories, Quebec preserves considerable autonomy and discretion over its immigration rules and procedures. As a result, Quebec has its own immigration systems that operate independently of the federal Express Entry system.

Skilled immigrants should always consider hiring an immigration consultant who can help them apply for one of these categories and immigrate to Canada. Candidates should always pick an immigration attorney who has a proven track record of working with clients and a high success rate.
