International Air Transport Association (IATA), headquartered in Montreal, Canada is a trade association of the world’s airlines founded in 1945 and represents the aviation industry. It also plays an important role in maintaining airline safety, security and efficiency.

Aspirants who have a good physique and have cleared the class 12 examination from a recognized board and are interested in doing a ground job joining the aviation industry can go for IATA cargo training Programs They will get a full year to complete the following programs

Cargo Introductory Course

This is a 1-year course that will help aspirants learn about the basic IATA cargo rules and regulations, and the know-how airline cargo units and freight forwarders operate. After completing this program aspirants will have the knowledge and skills to arrange air cargo shipments by adhering to the IATA rules and procedures, preparing shipments that are ready for dispatch, managing airway bills and completing them accurately, and guiding clients on the IATA rules for air freight shipment. An IATA Diploma certificate is awarded to the aspirants who successfully clear the final examination, which will be an online multiple-choice question examination with remote supervision and the minimum aggregate required to clear this examination is 60%.

Cargo Security Course

This is a one-year program that will teach aspirants to understand what role they need to play in the cargo security chain, to gain knowledge of the importance of human factors in achieving security, and how to make your work environment safe by implementing and enforcing security measures. Aspirants need to clear an online examination (remote supervision) with a minimum of 60% marks after which they will be awarded an IATA certificate.

Cargo Supply chain and Transport Modes Program

It is a 100-hour program that will help aspirants gain knowledge regarding logistics, supply chain management, and the different modes of transport. They will learn the main concepts and the principles of freight transport management, multimodal transport operations, and how dangerous/hazardous goods can be transported by air, land, and sea. After completion of the course, you will acquire knowledge and skills to understand the extent of freight forwarding services, to describe the various types of Transport Corridors such as Road, Air, Maritime and inland waterways, the process of transporting dangerous goods, etc. Aspirants will be awarded IATA Certificate upon successfully clearing an online examination with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
