Why is becoming a PMI-ATP a challenging task?

The Train the Trainer program is a requirement for all the instructors conducting PMP exam prep courses. The candidates under this program may also use PMI-developed training materials

Instructors who have been approved and credentialed by PMI, possess high-quality PMP prep course material. The classes are instructed by certified PMP holders.

What students receive from ATPs-

Students are allowed to provide their feedback to the PMI and the ATP. Students preparing under ATPs like EducationEdge, learn through meaningful conversations. Candidates enrolled in an ATP Certified institute, complete the 35 hours of training required for the PMP Exam. Students receive content guided by the PMP Exam Content Outline.

PMI offers two subscriptions to all the ATPs.A premier membership costs $9,999 per year while basic membership costs $6,999 per year for North America/Europe. EducationEdge is a Canada based premier level ATP.

ATPs are required to pay for a 12 month subscription to the PMI and the pricings are based on the institute’s location. For example, an ATP in North America/ Europe with a premier membership would be required to pay $9,999 per year whereas an ATP in Asia with a premier membership would be required to pay $6,799.

What are EEPs?

EEPs such as EducationEdge, use the BABOK guide content in endorsed learning activities in accordance with the terms and conditions of EEP. IIBA endorses the persistent education and training provided by EEPs to support the development of business analysis professionals at all levels.

IIBA’s EEP offers two types of membership for institutes. EducationEdge is a premier level member of the EEP under the IIBA. A premier level membership is a yearly subscription for $2250 with a $2000 yearly renewal fee. Institutes opting for a basic level membership are required to pay an initial fee of $1650 with a $1400 yearly renewal fee.
