When asked about his ideal date, the heartthrob said: ''I've just started getting into cooking now, so come round to my house and I'll cook for you. I have 'Jamie Oliver's 15-Minute Meals' [cookbook] and it's good.''
The star - who recently picked up three American Music Awards with his bandmates Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - revealed the lamb mince-based meal, shepherd's pie, is his favourite dinner to whip up when he has time off, but admitted he probably wouldn't be cooking for his bandmates any time soon because they tend not to spend their free time together.
Talking on Australian chat-show, 'A Current Affair', he explained: ''On our time off we just like to chill and not really do much. We figured out recently that, it's not a conscious decision, but we don't really see each other on our time off, because we don't get that much time at home, so when we do go home it's family time, not friends time.''
Despite their busy schedule which Niall admitted hasn't allowed him to properly hone his cooking skills, Louis said they are still enjoying their time in the band, having just released their fourth album in as many years.
