Project Introduction:

The 4MW/2MWh containerized energy storage system was officially launched in August 2014. This system uses energy storage components based on the world's leading lifepo4 battery core technology. It consists of two lifepo4 battery modules and an AC-DC power converter connected to the grid. It operates for Ontario's independent power system. IESO provides frequency modulation services. This is the first time IESO has assembled the battery energy storage system into the power grid system. The accumulation of these experiences can fully demonstrate the positive role this technology plays in balancing current and voltage and maintaining the stability and reliability of the power grid.
