Pure Sequence: A group of 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit is known as a pure sequence. For a valid declaration, a player needs to have at least one pure sequence according to rummy rules.

For Example: JQKA is a pure sequence

Impure Sequence: A group of 3 or more consecutive cards with one or more joker is known as an impure sequence.

3 4 PJ 6: An impure sequence with printed joker replacing 5

3 4 Q 6: An impure sequence where the wild joker Q replacing 5

What is a Set?

A set is a group of 3 or 4 rummy cards of the same rank but different suits. You can use printed jokers or wild jokers to form a set.

For Example: 3333, 333PJ, and 333Q are all valid sets where PJ represents printed joker and Q represents wild joker.
