Traffic Safety Rules And Regulations
Posted: Dec 06, 2014
Traffic rules can be defined as the rules or steps one should follow on the road in order to avoid harm to self or others. If such rules are not followed, there are chances that people may seriously injure themselves or the people around them, on the road, i.e. they might face accidents, which may at times prove to be fatal too. The road is used by various pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, public transports, and private transport. Hence a single accident can disrupt the whole traffic. Here are a few steps to ensure road safety-
In order to avoid any such mishap, an organized and proper road plan is one of the most important initial requirements to bring road safety.
The next step includes, implementing rules such that the speed of vehicles remains within the limits, such that even in case of an accident no serious injury or death would be caused. The main target of traffic safety is to reduce the count of fatality and serious accidents to as minimal numbers as possible.
The transportation of goods on roads needs to be carefully monitored.
Furthermore, in order to ensure transport safety, it should be made sure to keep regular checks on drivers, vehicles and the various safety processes.
Road crash barriers should be used, which are produced by various traffic safety products manufactures.
Few more things such as the traffic cones, speed breakers, delineators, speed breaking signs, and pavement demarcate should be efficiently used in order to guide the vehicles on the road for ensuting the safety. These materials too are manufactured by the numerous traffic safety products manufacturers.
It is a fact that sustainable solutions have not yet been figured out homogeneously i.e. for all various classes of roads, especially the ones present in the rural and backward areas. Hence it is important that the road safety plan be equally distributed hierarchically and carried out with as much accuracy as possible. The three levels are discussed below.
The first level includes dealing with and controlling i.e. prevention of serious injuries and deaths.
The second-level deals with the real time reduction of such risks, in which a person at a major risk of a serious injury is to be severely warned so that he/she can take appropriate mitigation actions.
The third-level deals with the various precautions and measures to be taken for the reduction of such risks.
