The USB device is an option to store your digital signature certificate. They are password protected but do not require one to connect to a network using a password. They are functional as soon as they are connected to a network.

The connected devices use USD, Bluetooth, or near-field communications besides radio frequency identifications or RFID.

USB Token

It comes along with the digital signature certification and is a plug-in device activated after installing drivers. The divers are provided by the CA along with the certificate but they can be downloaded from other sources as well. Remember the token is priced separately and is not included in the certificate cost. A private key comes along with the token that can help encrypt electronic documents as and when desired. All data can be transferred to the hard drive of your computer and saved in a folder.

Certain USB tokens store digital signatures, fingerprint details, or other biometric data, which could be used as cryptographic keys.

These portable hardware devices are easy to carry along and install on the laptop or desktop. The standard x.509. v3 certificate storage capability also enables encryption and decryption of documents.

Galmato Safe Token

The two-factor authentication ensures advanced security for this device and enables secure remote network accessibility.

Proxkey

The Proxkey USB token is a hardware cryptographic token with two-factor authentication. The private key is stored on the chip embedded inside the token.

mToken

A USB mtoken helps in assuring or identifying the user's identity electronically, thus enhancing digital security. mToken are excellent for cloud sign-in.

How to Use USB Token?

1. Plug into the USB Port on your desktop or laptop. 2. Install all drivers and download other related software 3. Verify accompanying digital certificate, private key, etc. This can be done using IE Internet Options4. Download forms or pdf files that have to be signed using a digital signature. Save them to a hard disk.8. Download Adobe Reader and Install10. Open the PDF Document using Adobe Reader DC or Adobe 1111. Go to the Tools option and click on the Digitally Sign Button13. Your Certificate details shall be shown immediately14. Enter your Private Key 15. Check on to the "Lock Document After Signing" Option16. You have successfully signed the PDF document17. Save this pdf and rename it by adding a _signed and store In India, USB Tokens are provided by digital certificate providers. They are available for a price depending upon the type of token and the company.
