Treatments For Wrinkles & Fine lines
As you know, wrinkles and fine lines are part of the aging process and they can't disappear but through different aesthetic skin procedures, you can improve your skin appearance and reduces the signs of aging as much as possible.
There are three types of procedures including skin treatments, laser, and injectable treatment. Let's start with the skin treatment.
Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion is a skin resurfacing process where a rotating device is used to scrape away the outer layer of the skin. It's the same as exfoliation of the skin that removes the outer layer which gets damaged due to exposure to UV rays, sunlight, or aging. Through this procedure, you can get smooth yet youthful glowing skin again.
This is an outpatient procedure, where the dermatologist will inject anesthesia into your skin to make it numb and then "sand" the face. It helps in reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation and restores the glow on your skin.
Microdermabrasion
In this treatment, fine crystals are utilized to sand the skin and exfoliate the dead cells. It is a minimally invasive process that helps to renew the skin resulting in improving skin texture and glow and decreasing fine lines as well as wrinkles. This procedure also works perfectly for sun tan, stretch marks, and discoloration.
Chemical Peels
In this procedure, the skin imperfect vanishes by using a small number of chemicals and injecting it into your face. Through the solution, the top layer of your skin is removed and creates room for another layer to grow which will be fresh and glowing. This procedure helps in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Laser Treatments
Laser Resurfacing
The laser resurfacing procedure is used to reduce large pores, hyperpigmentation, acne, wrinkles, and fine lines. In this technique, the laser pulsated beams are used on the affected area of skin to improve skin texture, glow, and signs of aging. Moreover, it also works to enhance the texture and tightness of the skin. During this treatment, the outer layer is removed safely through beams and a new healthier layer takes its place.
Injectable Treatments
Botox
Botox is a form of botulinum toxin bacteria that is used to freeze the muscle to block nerve signals to it. With botox, the particular muscle becomes paralyzed temporarily, resulting in no muscle movement which reduces the wrinkles and fine lines. The botox smooths the fine lines and wrinkles and makes them less prominent on your face. This treatment can last for months or years but is not permanent.
Botox is used to treat wrinkles and fine lines on the forehead, between eyebrows, and under the eyes. However, the wrinkles that occur due to skin sagging on the neck, cheeks, or jaw areas cannot be treated through botox.
Fillers
The derma fillers are substances, that are used to add volume and fullness to the skin. The substances that are used as derma fillers include:
- Calcium Hydroxyapatite( a mineral mostly found in bones)
- Hyaluronic Acid (A fluid that is found in tissues works to add plumpness to the skin)
- Polyalkylimide (get like substance that shows compatibility with the body)
- Polymethyl methacrylate (semi-permanent filler type)
- Polylactic Acid (works to boost collagen production in the skin)
