Drinks for Healthy Liver

Drinks to improve liver health
There are many sources that are connecting liver health with different tea drinks. Some evidence-based articles connect natural vitamin C liquids with better liver function.
Nevertheless, does liver detox and cleanse work in the scientific eyes? Here are five of the best ingredients that help us to protect liver health while drinking them.
1. Milk Thistle
Several trials have reported the antitoxic effect of MT in preventing liver damage due to exogenous exposure to alcohol, drugs, occupational toxins, and toxic mushrooms.
Recommended daily doses: 2 tbsp. dried milk thistle boiled with 1l water.
2. Ginger
2 2 grams of ginger powder (dried and blended) resulted in a significant reduction in alanine aminotransferase,?-glutamyl transferase, inflammatory cytokines, as well as the insulin resistance index and hepatic steatosis grade in comparison to the placebo. We did not find any significant effect of taking ginger supplements on hepatic fibrosis and aspartate aminotransferase.
Recommended daily doses: ½-teaspoon ginger powder mixed with 300ml hot water and 15ml lemon juice.
3. Dandelion Root
It is approved that dandelion root has hepatoprotective and nephroprotective effects on acute or chronic liver failure. The mechanism proposed is the antioxidant activity of the bioactive components of the TOERE. These findings suggest for the first time that dandelion root may be a potential preventive therapeutic agent for the severe liver and renal inflammatory injury associated with ACLF. These observations are important considering that ACLF has a high mortality rate.
Recommended daily doses: 1-teaspoon dandelion root powder mixed with 300ml hot water or dandelion infusion 2-table spoons with 500ml hot water.
4. Turmeric
CurCumin and related phenolic have been associated with the inhibition of lipid peroxidation, free radical formation, and DNA damage under the role of radical scavengers and/or antioxidants. The drug caused liver toxicity, treated with curcumin lowers the elevated aspartate transaminase, alkaline phosphatase, and alanine transaminase levels and raises the total protein and albumin levels in plasma.
Recommended daily doses: 6g turmeric powder mixed with 300ml hot water and 15ml orange juice.
5. Green tea
Green tea has a certain degree of both preventive and therapeutic effects on liver disease. Studies have shown that green tea can help in the regulation of lipid metabolism, which reduces the accumulation of lipids in the liver. The main active compounds in green tea are catechine. High levels of catechin, especially catechin (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), could have biological effects such as antioxidative, antiviral, anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, anticancer, anti-inflammation, anti-obesity, and hypolipidaemic effects.
Recommended daily doses: 2 tbsp. green tea with 700ml boiled water, 15ml lemon juice.
All of these drinks can be taken as a part of a lifestyle. The best time to drink them is in the morning hours until noon.
