Posted: Oct 07, 2022
Most of the time, our amigos ask us what it's like to work at Mad Mex, a Mexican restaurant in Melbourne. The answer is simple: People love it! We're driven by our passion for Mexican food and our desire to provide the best possible customer service. We also have the best customers in the world coming to our restaurant to eat and enjoy themselves!
Rony Hassoun, our regional operations manager in Victoria, is a great example of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication at a great Mexican restaurant in Melbourne. He's helping seven of our restaurants in the area grow.
Before he joined Mad Mex, Rony worked in the U.S. for a couple of years. He also briefly ran a restaurant in Melbourne. After a chance to be the business manager of one of our restaurants in Chadstone came up, he was able to take on this role.
Chadstone was underperforming when he joined Mad Mex, but he was able to turn it around quickly. He said that he was initially tasked with improving the restaurant's performance, but he was able to do so successfully.
After becoming a multi-site manager, he was promoted to the role of DFO Southwharf. In May 2021, he was named as the regional operations manager. He then added five more restaurants to his already impressive portfolio.
Why Did He Choose Mad Mex?
There are a lot of Mexican restaurants to choose from. So why did Rony choose Mad Mex as the Mexican restaurant Melbourne to work with? He said that he was attracted to Mad Mex due to its culture and the opportunity to take ownership of his career. He also said that he felt like part of the family when he joined the Mexican restaurant Melbourne.
Mad Mex allows employees to have autonomy and freedom. He also said that he enjoys challenging the system and constantly pushing the envelope. He additionally said that he encourages his team members to speak up whenever they need to.
The restaurant's flat structure has been one of the main factors that attracted Rony to Mad Mex. He said that it allows him to develop and grow as a leader in the Mexican restaurant Melbourne. He was able to gain access to the restaurant's leaders, such as CEO Chris Clovis and COO Tim Therese, which has helped him become a more authentic and welcoming individual.
