Work with Engagement Ring Designers for that Special Ring
Posted: Dec 18, 2014
When you want to ask your partner to marry you, it is a time for celebration and happiness. Choosing a ring that is special and meaningful to you can be quite difficult when faced with the vast choice of designs in the shop windows. One thing that you can consider is to look for some engagement ring designers who can sit down and tease out what type of ring would suit you and your budget. There are many designers all over the country, and it is surprisingly easy to go online and search for one, or perhaps a few, near where you live. You might want to search for a London engagement ring, as there are a lot of jewellery workshops and businesses concentrated in a small area.
Choosing your design
The design choice can be real challenge, because you want the ring to be special and for your partner to love it. If you want to surprise her, then you need to find out her interests and likes in a roundabout way. For instance, you could ask her what her birthstone is and, importantly, does she like it. This conversation could lead to a general discussion about gemstones in general. This can be great fun and the only limit is your imagination; like a detective, you must tease out all the information about your engagement ring. Designers are used to helping people discover what they want, but they must have something to go on first.
Chocolates and champagne
If you discover that your partner loves chocolates and champagne to celebrate, then a champagne diamond is worth considering. When we think of diamonds, the usual image is one of sparkling, clear brilliance. There are, however, diamonds found naturally in a variety of colours, pink, blue, grey, green and, of course, champagne. Coloured diamonds are very rare, red being the rarest and the least rare are the yellow to brown shades. A note of caution to those thinking of a coloured diamond engagement ring: designers should have a certificate from an independent laboratory saying where the colour of the diamond originated. This is important; because of the rarity of coloured diamonds, scientists have found a way to mimic the natural process to colour them in the laboratory.
Smooth and rich
Champagne diamonds range from a pale yellow to a rich, cognac amber brown; the darker brown hues have been likened to the rich smoothness of chocolate. These coloured diamonds add another layer to the traditional diamond ring, and it is possible to use a variety of shades or mix with clear diamonds to create that really unique ring.
Engagement ring designers love to be able to be creative, and what better way to take advantage of their skills and present a ring that will forever put that champagne sparkle into your marriage.
