It is easy to organize a lavish wedding ceremony for the couples who are high on budget, but it requires many efforts and a perfect planning to save money while making everything go flawless. Couples who are low on budget have to select everything from marriage invitation cards to venue and cuisine wisely. Whatever the size of budget is, couples will always discuss about the unnecessary expenses at the end of ceremony. This list can be different for each couple, but things which are not worth spending too much money are mentioned below.

Large wedding cake

First one is the large sized wedding cake. Most couples order a big cake that is sufficient for the 300 guests, but they have invited only 50 guests. As the size of cake increases, its cost also increases. Couples who want to put an impression on guests order the big one, but the small one still can look impressive. To keep the size of cake large, one can ask bakers to use a large topper or adding a separator in each layer. Newly-wedded couples can also order a cake for 100 people even they are inviting over 100. To serve more, they can order inexpensive sheet cakes.

Unnecessary wedding favors

Next big and unnecessary expense is to give large and meaningless wedding favors. Recently-married couples say thank you to the guests by giving them a present. However, such items are useless increasing budget unnecessarily. Some couples will give fancy bowls, or some picture frames, but all these items will be covered in dust or lying in a dustbin after a few years and the money will get wasted. Instead of such presents, they should thank everyone personally. If there is necessity of giving favors, they should give something edible items which can be consumed immediately. They can also present something related to the bride and groom or a bag for traveling or carrying a lunch box. Such items are used frequently and people keep using these items until these get worn out.

Unnecessary wedding souvenirs

Every couple wants to make their guests remember their wedding ceremony for the lifetime. For this, some of them will purchase an item and give it to the each guest as a souvenir. This is a good thing to present mementos to each invitee, but nobody is likely to keep it for the lifetime. As a result, the money will be wasted. Instead of doing this, couples give an item that everybody would like to keep it always and will remember the wedding ceremony by looking at it. In my opinion, they should send a photograph of each guest with them.

Well, these are some unnecessary things which should be avoided in a wedding ceremony.
