Keeping Your Kitchen Clean

You can cook conveniently in a clean kitchen, but it is not easy to keep the kitchen clean. Several parts of the kitchen including appliances, floor, and tiles have to be cleaned while you attempt to clean the kitchen. If you follow the kitchen cleaning tips, you can prevent clutter and clean the kitchen easily. For every utensil or appliance, you need to have a space in your kitchen.

The kitchen cabinet must be designed with future inclusions in mind. If there is no space in the kitchen for something you bought recently, it will become difficult to handle it.

Every kitchen will have a spot that gets cluttered easily. You have to know those spots so that you can organize clutter effectively. If you see that some spots in your kitchen are over used and are messed up, you have to take some time everyday to clear those spots.

Appliances such as refrigerator and ovens are used a lot in kitchen. If possible, you can wipe these appliances with a damp cloth every day. This will keep the exterior clean and free from dust. After you finish cooking, wash the utensils and place them in the dishwasher. If your kitchen sink is filled with utensils, you will find cleaning to be a tiresome job. Complete loading and switch on the dishwasher at night. The next day morning, unload the dishwasher first and start cooking.

Before you go to bed, wipe the counter top of the kitchen with a damp paper towel to remove oil spills and stains. Hard stains can be removed using an all purpose kitchen cleaner.

The main kitchen cleaning tool that is used is sponge. This sometimes spread germs if you don't wash the sponge in a proper manner. To avoid contamination and washing of sponge, start using paper towels. After cleaning appliance with the paper towel, you can directly throw it into the garbage bin. Coffee maker has to be cleaned atleast once in two weeks. Add white vinegar to equal parts of water and brew it once to clean the coffee maker. Then, repeat brewing by pouting plain water to rinse the machine. Spills in the kitchen can be cleaned easily when you clean them when they are fresh. Similarly, you can save a lot of cleaning effort if you clean the grill as and when it cools down after cooking.

Refrigerator is the major part of the kitchen that gets messed up easily. Once in 10 days, remove food from it and check for expiration dates. Those goods that are past the expiration date must be discarded. Then, you have to clean the inner side of the refrigerator with soapy water to clean the trays before reloading it.

You may buy separate kitchen cleaning liquids to clean windows, tiles and floors. To make your own all purpose cleaner and save money, mix plain liquid ivory soap with water. This can be stored in a spray bottle for use in the future. Adding too much of ivory soap will make the solution too foamy.
