In india the frist international cricket stadium came in december 1933.when india play a test series with england at gymkhana ground in bombay.then,many stadimus have gotten opportunity to host international matches in the country.Now the days india has 53 international cricket stadiums which is higgest in the country,futhermore england in the second with 23 cricket stadiums.Out of the 53 International stadiums, 25 are active cricketing grounds in india.active internationl grounds are ;

1 Eden gardens,kolkata

Eden garden is the oldest cricket stadium in india (kolkata)and second largest ground in india and thrid largest in the world.the total capacity of sectators is 66000.this stadium was build in 1864.eden garden operate the cricket assoication of bengal. The frist match was held in 1933 between India and England. this stadium also host many tournaments like 1987 world cup, 2016 women world cup,T20 world cup, the day night test match.

2 M.A Chidambaram cricket stadium

M.A chidambaram cricket stadium is know as chepauk stadium.it was build in 1916.the second oldest cricket ground after the eden garden in kolkata. It is home ground of tamil cricket team and IPL team chennai super kings.the frist test match is hosted on 11 febuaray 1934, india win this test match series by england and capacity of spetators is 50,000.

3 Arun Jaitley cricket stadium

The arun jaitley cricket stadium is handle by the (DDCA) delhi distirict cricket accociation it was build in 1883.On 12 septamber 2019, the stadium name was change into the arun jaitely in the momery of former DDCA and stands with different name like gautam gambhir, singh bedi,etc moreover this is home ground of delhi capitals in IPL tournament.

4 wankhede cricket stadium

wankhede cricket stadium was established in 1974 by mumbai cricket association.after build this stadium the conflicts between the cricket club of india whch own the brabiurne ground and mumbai cricket assoication.it was hosted the final match of the world cup in 2011 furthermore it is home the ground of mumbai indians in IPL leauge.the sitting capacity of people is 33,110.

5 Rajiv ghandi international cricket stadium

Rajiv ghandi international cricket stadium is know as hydrabad cricket ground. the name is given in the memory the prime minister of india rajiv ghandi internationl cricket stadium and total capacity of this ground is 55,000 moreover it is home ground of hyderabad cricket assiocation and in ipl league sunrisers hyderabad team.the bounders of this ground is 80 meters and the pitch is good batting wicket in indian permier league.
