Is Living Beyond Judgement Really Possible?

right wrong

Judgments are almost an integrated part of our reality. As we come to this world we are not beings that naturally judge people and things around us, it is a learned trait.

We start learning to judge through our well-meaning parents and learn to judge right and wrong, good and bad at a very early age. This continues with school, society, culture, friends, and so on.

So when we spend our entire life navigating through judgments in order to decide our course it becomes an autopilot effecting our choices. When we do have judgments in place how much freedom can we really have with our choices?

Unless it fits into a pre-determined right or good, one does not see the possibilities beyond that.

Observe yourself when you are about to make a choice. Who is the one talking in your head judging why you should and why you shouldn’t, what it is better to do and what is too risky and not good for you? When you have that autopilot, stop, breathe, and ask yourself; "Is that really my point of view?" or "Who does this belong to?" When you ask those questions if you have a sense of space or lightness in your world there is something that possible that is resonating with the truth of you.

After that you can ask "If I did not know any of those things that I think I know, what would I be aware of?" or "If I had no right or wrong what would I choose?"

The point of view that we cannot choose the right thing unless we judge the good and bad, right and wrong, the risk factor, etc., stems from the fear that without those navigation systems, you would be lost or that you would make wrong choice that will hurt you.

Is that actually true for you?

Would you really make wrong choices? Or would every choice teach something and gift you awareness? Hasn’t it always happened this way?

When you filter choices through right and wrong, judgments become a survival tool and a control mechanism.

Do you fear that without judgments in place, you will loose control? Does determining right and wrong, good and bad give a form of control over?

What if none of those are who you are?

What if you are much more than that? What if knowing and following your truth without any judgment — which is your awareness — is the true control?

Beyond judgments does not mean you will not be aware of the bad and the ugly and what is not working for you. It means you can be present with any and all energies without judgment and a point of view and not resisting and reacting or aligning and agreeing and choose at any moment that which works best for you to create a life that you truly desire.

Do you not wonder who you truly are beyond all those judgments you took over yourself? You can look at life as a journey of self-discovery. As you shed more of who or what you are actually not the more your true self shines.

What if the true adventure of living starts with choosing you?
