Canada Immigration Express Entry System
Posted: Mar 16, 2023
Canada's Express Entry program is a system used by the Canadian government to manage and process applications for permanent residence from skilled foreign workers who want to live and work in Canada. The program is designed to facilitate the entry of qualified individuals into Canada based on their skills, education, work experience, and language proficiency.
To be eligible for the Express Entry program, applicants must first meet the criteria of one of the three economic immigration programs managed through Express Entry: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class.
Once an applicant has been deemed eligible for one of these programs, they can create an Express Entry profile and submit their application to the Express Entry pool. Based on their qualifications, applicants will be assigned a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which is a points-based system that ranks candidates based on factors such as age, language proficiency, education, work experience, and other factors.
Candidates with the highest CRS scores are then invited to apply for permanent residency through periodic Express Entry draws conducted by the Canadian government. Those who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency must then submit their full application within a specified timeframe.
The Express Entry program has become a popular option for skilled workers seeking to immigrate to Canada, as it offers a fast and streamlined process for obtaining permanent residency. It also allows Canadian employers to quickly and easily access skilled workers who can help address labor shortages in certain industries.

The Canadian government then conducts regular draws from the Express Entry pool, inviting the highest-ranking applicants to apply for permanent residency. Those who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) must then submit a complete application within 60 days.
The Express Entry system is designed to be fast and efficient, with most applications being processed within six months. It is a popular pathway for skilled workers seeking to immigrate to Canada, and it allows Canadian employers to quickly and easily access the skills and expertise they need to fill labor shortages in certain industries.
