- Finally, update the latest payroll tax table.
For Windows XP users:
If you are using Windows XP, perform the steps mentioned below:
- The first step is to close QuickBooks Desktop.
- Next, from the desktop, right-click My Computer and then select Manage. The computer management screen will appear.
- Hover over the Services and Applications tab, and then select Services. Now the Services window will open.
- Now double-click on Intuit QuickBooks FSC service to open Intuit QuickBooks FCS Properties window.
- Next click on the General tab, then select the Startup type drop-down list and select the Manual option.
- Then the user clicks the OK button.
- Follow up by reopening QuickBooks Desktop.
- Download QuickBooks Desktop product updates.
- Update the social fee table
- Hover over Employee, then click Get Payroll Updates.
- Select Download full payroll update.
- Select the Updates tab.
- During the download process, a message will be displayed. A new tax table and/or update to your payroll tax form has been installed on your computer.
