Trimbakeshwar Temple Timings
Posted: Sep 07, 2023
The Linga in this place is called Trimbaka or Trayambaka. Three little Lingas inside symbolize Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh, hence the name. Three silver heads make up the Trimbakeshwar Linga. Only at Trimbakeshwar can you locate a Linga in a depression or cavity, making it unique among the Jyotirlingas. Many believe the three Lingas represent the Sun, Moon, and Fire, with each eye facing a different direction. If somebody worships this Linga they will be blessed by these three gods.
On top of the Lingas of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva is a silver crown with the gods’ faces. A bejewelled gold crown adorns the three Lingas on Mahashivaratri, Karthik Purnima, and Dussehra.
