There was a watch fair in New york city over the weekend branded as "TimeCrafters". There were many manufacturers on hand including Hublot. I've always known about the brand but not until recently have I really appreciated hublot Big Bang King replica and it's fusion in watchmaking. Anyway, I don't have to tell you, Hublot has some really progressive pieces (even the display cases) in its collection and I'm glad I had a chance to see some of them up close and personal during the event. Sorry for the quality. I didn't want to fuss with a flash. Big Bang All Carbon. No glass on the stand covering the piece but get too close, the watch disappears into the stand. For those that have low price burning their pockets, the Big Bang Minute Repeater Tourbillon is what you need!

It was a pleasure meeting Mike Margolis again. He and Robert were very attentive and enthusiastic promoting the brand. My take is Senna. Perhaps I am biased as Senna was like God's hand when he was alive driving in a cockpit powered by Honda. Hublot, the luxury Swiss brand, which brings the "Art of Fusion" to watchmaking, and CEO Jean-Claude Biver, celebrated the opening of its anticipated New york city Boutique on May 11, 2011 with the unveiling of the special limited edition watch created to support the amfAR global struggle against HIV/AIDS. Mr. Biver and amfAR Founding Chairman Dr. Mathilde Krim unveiled the Big Bang Black Magic amfAR, a special 100-piece design celebrating their 25th anniversary, in front of guests including amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole, Hublot ambassador and supermodel Veronica Varekova, Lady Lynn de Rothschild amongst others. The watch features a 44 mm black ceramic case and bezel and houses a self-winding chronograph movement and rubber-alligator strap with the amfAR colors and breitling Chronomat replica.

"We feel honored to be joining amfAR's efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS", said Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver. "The vision truly resonates with our top principle of 'sharing' and we hope that through our partnership we are able to bring greater light to this important issue". "In choosing to partner with amfAR and to support our efforts to bring the AIDS epidemic to an end, Hublot is making an important contribution to AIDS research and global health. We're very grateful for their support, " said Dr. Krim. In addition to the special unveiling, the evening featured a private showing of the newest Hublot timepieces and a rare sampling of Mr. Biver's homemade Swiss cheese. The a la Biver menu which included dishes such as the Black Magic Crab Salad, Biver Cheese Sliders, Tutti Frutti Macaroons and more, were inspired by the brand's vision of fusion.

Hublot made its name 30 years ago when it became the first Swiss watch luxury brand to fuse precious metals with functional rubber, sparking a revolution for material innovation and aesthetics. In 2004, Mr. Jean-Claude Biver gave a great new boost and revolutionized watchmaking with the creation of the "Big Bang", which marked the start of the spectacular success of the brand. In just five years Hublot has become one of the most sought-out high-end watch brands with some of its timepieces making watch history, such as the One Million Dollar Big Bang, All Black Big Bang and Mag Bang watches. In 2008 Hublot was bought by the LVMH group with Jean-Claude Biver as CEO and leading the company's guiding philosophy of "Art of Fusion, " which combines unusual materials such zirconium, tantalum, magnesium and titanium with diamonds, precious gems, gold, platinum, ceramic, steel and rubber.

First-ever Hublot boutique in Japan will open on prestigious Namiki street in Ginza, Tokyo. Hublot continues its expansion into the most significant luxury destinations in the world. After Place Vend? me in Paris, Madison Avenue, Beverly Hills …. Ginza is Hublot's 37th boutique as Hublot's domination of the luxury retail sector continues throughout 2011 and into the future. Hublot continues its expansion into the most significant luxury shopping destinations in the world with the opening of boutique Number 37, Ginza Japan.
