Championing Environmental Oversight: Web-Based App Launched by CPCC Chairman Nitin Kumar Yadav

In a proactive move towards bolstering environmental governance, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC) recently introduced a web-based application module designed for the systematic inspection and monitoring of industrial units in the city. During the session, officials showcased various ongoing activities and notable achievements within their respective departments. Notably, it was revealed that the Environment Department had developed a cutting-edge Climate Change Dashboard. This dashboard is founded on climate parameters and serves to identify critical aspects such as vegetation index, urban heat islands, and land classification within the city.

Furthermore, the review meeting became a platform for collaborative discussions among stakeholders, aiming to raise awareness about these initiatives among the public. Nitin Kumar Yadav, along with T.C. Nautiyal, Chief Forest Conservator and Secretary of CPCC, and Arulrajan P, Deputy Forest Conservator and Municipal Corporation, Engineering Department, CPCC, collectively reinforced their commitment to environmental stewardship.
