• Process to Obtain an FSSAI State License

  1. Registration on FoSCoS Portal
     • Visit the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) portal: FSSAI portal: https://foscos.fssai.gov.in/.
     • Register yourself on the portal.
  2. Apply for License
     • After registering, select "Apply for License/Registration" under the "License/Registration" tab.
     • Choose your state and select "Manufacturing" under the "Kind of Business" category.
     • Carefully choose the sub-category that best describes your manufacturing activity from the list provided.
     • Fill out the application Form B completely and ensure all details are accurate.
  3. Upload Documents
     • Upload the necessary documents as specified by the FSSAI for your particular food business category. Some common documents required include:
       • Completed Form B
       • Plan of the processing unit with dimensions and area allocation details
       • List of directors/partners/proprietor with contact details and ID proofs
       • List of machinery and equipment used with capacity details
       • Authority letter appointing a responsible person
       • Water analysis report
       • Any other documents specific to your business category
  4. Fee Payment
     • Pay the requisite license fee online through the available payment options. The fee varies depending on your production capacity and ranges from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000 per year.
  5. Application Submission and Tracking
     • Once the fee is paid, submit your application electronically.
     • You will receive a reference number for tracking the application status.

  Time Required for Granting License
