After securing his transfer to Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States, seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi is currently at Inter Miami. Messi has spent his whole playing career representing the Argentina national football team. He has also played for FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Lionel Messi would be an asset to any squad as among the greatest players of all time. Messi has been among the world's finest players for his 19-year career and has amassed a sizable collection of individual and team awards.

Despite his tremendous output, Messi has only ever played for three clubs in his career. Before his unexpected transfer to PSG, he played most of his career with Barcelona. Messi has been in Paris for two years and is now in Miami, ready to play for Inter Miami CF, David Beckham's team. Now, fantasy football games are the new daily fantasy sports where you can even earn money.

The Lionel Messi youth teams are Grandoli, Newell's Old Boys, and Barcelona.

Lionel Messi was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. He was exposed to football at a young age, having grown up in a household passionate about the game. As a child, he liked playing on Rosario's streets with his older brothers and relatives.

When he was five, he started playing football with the Grandoli neighborhood team, where his father was a part-time coach. Messi has also expressed gratitude to his grandmother, Celia Cuccittini, for her support and encouragement in his football career. He points to the heavens after scoring a goal to show his appreciation.

We used to go to the Grandoli club every day, where one of my brothers or cousins would play. In an interview, Lionel Messi recalled how his grandmother begged the coach to "put him [Leo] in the team" since the "86 team," which was one year older than he was, was playing and in need of a player.

"I did a few things when I entered. I started when my grandma said to the coach, "Buy him football boots; I'll bring him to training next week," when she returned. "It was an incredible experience," he added.

Messi chose to play in the Argentine Primera Division with Newell's Old Boys, one of Rosario's top clubs, after spending his formative four years there with Grandoli. Along with supporting Newell's Old Boys, Messi's family was inducted into the group known as the Machine of 87.

All of the boys were born in 1987, and under Messi's outstanding leadership, they would go on to rule Argentina's young scene. In Under 11 children's seven-a-side matches, the Machine of 87 went three years without losing!

It was first determined that Messi lacked growth hormone at Newell's Old Boys. If Newell's could pay for the costly therapy, Messi would only have grown to his final build and size. The young Messi was also a target for River Plate, one of the biggest teams in Argentina, but they decided against it due to the high cost of his medical care.

At Barcelona, Lionel Messi.

In his hour of need, Messi found support from the most unlikely places. Scouts from Barcelona had noticed Messi in Spain, across the Atlantic. As long as Messi signed up for their young setup in La Masia, the Spanish club was more than willing to pay for his therapy. In 2000, at 13, Messi moved to Spain to follow his goal.

After spending just four years in the junior system and making few appearances for Barcelona B and C teams, he was quickly promoted to the senior teams due to his extraordinary talent. In a friendly match in 2003, Frank Rijkaard gave him his Barcelona debut. He made his official debut in October of 2004, making him the youngest player in the team's history.

As they say, the rest is history. Messi and the Barcelona team authored history together as they won every prize possible. With 672 goals, he is the top scorer in Spain and has appeared in 778 games for the Catalan team, a record in Barcelona's history.

Messi has won the treble twice with the team: once under Pep Guardiola and once under Luis Enrique. He has four Champions League titles and ten La Liga titles with Barcelona. Messi boasts multiple La Liga records, and his contributions in a Barcelona shirt earned him all seven of his Ballon d'Or awards.

At Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi

Messi had expressed in multiple interviews that he wanted to finish his career with Barcelona, and for a considerable amount of time, it appeared that he would. Messi, however, was forced to quit Barcelona in August 2021 in a move that stunned the entire world. The financially strapped team stated they could not register Messi's new contract in time to meet La Liga's financial requirements.

Instead, a devastated Messi was forced to sign with Paris Saint-Germain, where he would attack with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. On August 29, he made his Parisian debut by substituting in the second half. Messi played for PSG for two years, winning the league title each time. But he could not lead them to their first Champions League trophy, and they were eliminated from the competition in both seasons.
