Wedding: Emily Chance & Daniel Kemp

Emily Katherine Chance and Daniel O'Bryan Kemp were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on the afternoon of Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, Louisiana. The Nuptial Mass was celebrated by The Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen.

Emily Katherine Chance is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stuart Chance of Lafayette, Louisiana. Mrs. Chance is the former Lisa Mansueto. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Mansueto of Metairie, Louisiana, and Mrs. John Edward Chance and the late Mr. John Edward Chance of Lafayette, Louisiana. Emily is a 2004 graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English. She was an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Alabama at Birmingham in December 2014.

Daniel O'Bryan Kemp is the son of Ms. Carol Beth Kemp of Shreveport, Louisiana and the grandson of Ms. Ruth Dalferes of Shreveport, Louisiana, and the late Mr. Oris Albert Kemp of Bossier City, Louisiana. Daniel is a 2004 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport and a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He was an active member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He is employed as a Financial Advisor with Old Growth Capital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Escorted down the aisle by her father and given away by her parents, the bride wore a couture natural white and ivory wedding gown by designer Romona Keveza. The bodice of the point d'esprit wedding gown features three-quarter length sleeves and an illusion bateau neckline made of French Alençon lace. The fitted waist of the full point d'esprit skirt is accented with a jeweled belt. The back of the dress features a small satin bow and matte satin covered buttons midline on the bodice. The bride chose a cathedral length ivory Italian silk veil edged in Chantilly lace by designer Monvieve. She carried a soft cascade bouquet with white hydrangeas, ivory and soft pink mother-of-pearl roses, stephanotis, sweet peas, stock, ranunculus, and draping seeded eucalyptus.

Erin Chance Fenstermaker and Elizabeth Chance Edgens, sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Pamela Chance Fenstermaker and Claire Frances Stamm, cousins of the bride, and Adelaide Dowell Greer, Taylor Persac Gulotta, Meghan Cornay Lavin, Elizabeth Fontenot Shea, Belen Barrow Timmins, and Caroline Alexander Wells, friends of the bride.

Nicholas Alan Kemp, brother of the groom, and Steven Chase Keene, friend of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were John Ford Brice, Cody Wilson Greer, Richard Wesley Hightower, Jr., Adam Benjamin Lillich, Bryan Scott Norris, Jr., Cody Christopher Passman, Jared Wayne Perkins, Arthur Lee Smith III, and Stephen Michael Todd, friends of the groom. Serving as ushers were Thomas Stuart Chance II and John Spencer Chance, brothers of the bride, and Daniel Thompson Deitz, Gaines Caldwell Garrett, and Landon Richard George Roberts, friends of the groom.

The flower girl was Emily Claire McDougald, cousin of the bride and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Blake McDougald II. The ring bearers were Charles Howard Fenstermaker IV, Godson and nephew of the bride and son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Howard Fenstermaker III, Parker Leland Greer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cody Wilson Greer, and Benjamin David McDougald, cousin of the bride and son of Mr. and Mrs. David Blake McDougald II.

Julie Chance McDougald, cousin of the bride, and Rebecca Lynn Amantia, cousin of the groom, served as scripture readers. The gifts were presented by Jodie Mansueto, Godmother and aunt of the bride, and Laurie Amantia and Dianna Nussbaum, aunts of the groom. Serving as Eucharistic ministers were Mrs. John Edward Chance, grandmother of the bride, Ellen Ortego Barousse, cousin of the bride, and Katie Courville Roberts, friend of the bride and groom. Sarah Elizabeth Landry, friend of the bride, served as the program attendant.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom and his family at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette on the evening before the wedding. Following the ceremony a reception was held at La Marquise Ballroom in Lafayette, Louisiana.

After returning from their honeymoon in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple will reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
