Soybean is regarded as the richest bean among all other types of beans. It is a powerhouse of various nutrients, especially proteins. Soybean is a native crop of China where it has been cultivated since 13,000 years. The Chinese regarded as a staple crop for life. Moreover, the fats present in soy include omega-3 acids which are very beneficial in order to prevent cancer and heart diseases. The presence of omega-3 fats is very rare in plant food sources. this is why soybean oil is increasingly being used in cooking.
  • Fibrous- Soybeans provide dietary fiber content of up to 8%. Soy flour has the maximum content of fiber.
  • Source Of Macro-Nutrients- Soybeans are rich in various macro-nutrients like calcium, iron, vitamin-B and vitamin-B12. The calcium from soybean can be easily digested, it has digestive rate equal to milk.
  • Better than other Legumes- Soybean is superior to other legumes in terms of health content. it is a rich source of fats and has no Cholesterol. It offers Probiotics, Isoflavones and essential amino-acids. it is a rich substitute of meat and is powerhouse of nutrients for vegetarians.
  • Prevents Various Diseases- Soy beans contain Phytoestrogen and thus is considered to be beneficial in preventing menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes. It has also been reported that soybeans can prevent women from coronary heart diseases. Regular consumption of soybeans help in maintaining blood pressure levels, improves blood vessels and adds greater elasticity to artery walls. Soybean also reduces the risk of breast cancer, colon and prostate cancer, osteoporosis and endometriosis.
