The copper and zinc mixture, Brass is a popular alloy used for manufacturing variety of components such as cable glands, tube valves, hinges, ammunition components etc. Referred as yellowish alloy, the metal also comprises some amounts of several other materials. The Various Types of Brass & Their Uses are following:

Yellow Brass: Yellow brass contains 65% Cu & 35% Zn and is used for making plumbing brass goods locks, flashlight shells, lamp fixtures, screws, springs, radiator cores, tanks, fasteners, grill work, stencils, pins, rivets, hinges and plumbing accessories.

Red Brass: Red brass (CuZnSn) is also colloquially called gunmetal. The two main characteristics of the brass are good cold workability and hot formability. Its use is employed for making fasteners, condensers, heat exchanger tubing, conduits, sockets, fire extinguishers, plumbing pipes, radiator cores etc.

Forging Brass: The brass contains 59.5% Cu, 2.0% Pb and 38.0%Zn and can be expounded as excellent hot workability. It is used for various kinds of forgings and pressings.

Cartridge Brass: Cartridge brass has 70% Cu and 30% zinc and is known for its excellent cold working properties. Its applications include grill work, pins, radiator cores & tanks, ammunition components, flashlight shells, lamp fixtures, plumbing brass goods locks, fasteners, screws, springs, stencils, hinges, plumbing accessories and rivets.

High Brass: It is a 65% copper and 35% zinc brass. The brass has excellent tensile strength and is also characterized by moderate cold workability. It is used for clock plates & nuts, gears, wheels & channel plates, bearing cages, clocks & watch backs, book dies, type characters, hinges, keys, lock parts, lock tumblers, strike plates, templates, hose couplings, washers and wear plates.

Low Brass: Low brass has 80% Cu and 20% zinc, and has a light golden color. The brass has astoundingly good ductility and is also known for its cold workability. It is used for clock dials, battery caps bellows, flexible metal hoses, musical instruments, pump lines, metal bellows and flexible hose.

Naval Brass: The brass comprises of 60.0% Cu, 39.2% Zn, 0.8% Sn, and is known for its hot forgeability and hot workability. Its various applications include rivets, valve stems, aircraft turnbuckle barrels, balls, bolts, marine hardware, nuts, propeller shafts, welding rod and condenser plates.

There are many manufacturers of Brass Components like Brass Tube Valves in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and one can purchase Brass Components at highly competitive prices. One can visit the websites of the suppliers and also enquire about the products. The order, whether bulk or of small quantity reaches the buyer within stipulated time.
