Kiplinger, an organization that has led the way in personal finance and business forecasting for the last nine years, has released its 2015 Annual Best Value Awards List. These awards are given to cars which Kiplinger determines are the best monetary value in their class. In 2015 the Nissan Murano was name "Best New/Redesigned Crossover."

Kiplinger does extensive testing for each vehicle that is a finalist for the awards. The vehicles are ranked on a variety of factors that include price, driving impressions, performance, safety, roominess, resale value and fuel economy. The cars are then ranked according to these categories. The cars that received the 2015 Best Value Awards, including the Nissan Murano, will be featured in special buyer's guide that will hit the newsstands in February 2015.

The Nissan Murano first hit the market in 2002 when Nissan set out to design a crossover sedan that would provide drivers with the style and comfort that they need and redefined the market. It was redesigned 13 years later with added features and has already redefined the market again. The new Nissan Murano has a host of new features including concept car styling, new technologies that help drivers drive better and safer, and a more luxurious updated interior.

One of the most innovative and important parts of the redesign is the new more-efficiently designed exterior, which is smooth and aerodynamic. It has an O.31 Cd drag coefficient. Overall, fuel economy has significantly improved over previous generations of the Murano, at a rate of 20 percent.

Other improvements in the new 2015 Nissan Murano include Moving Object Detection (MOD), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), and the Around View Monitor. These features all add to the safety and the security of the driver and their passengers while they are on the road. Additionally the key and lock system on the new Murano is completely redesigned. The Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition helps protect the vehicle from theft. These are only a handful of features that have improved the Nissan Murano, and helped to make it well deserving of Kipling's "Best New/Redesigned Midsize Crossover Award."

All of the features that led Kiplinger to give the Nissan Murano such a prestigious award make it a great vehicle for anyone who is looking for the a crossover vehicle in its class. It is safe, secure, and has plenty of room for the entire family and their belongings. With such a great price, and the amount of money saved on repairs and fuel in the future, this car is sure to last a long time, and prove that it is well worth this prestigious award.
