The 2014 LA Auto Show was a unique experience to everybody involved. The thrill of being some of the very first to witness the changes made to adored brands while checking out the new models is enough to get many automobile enthusiasts wildly excited. According to some experts who roamed the several corners of the event, few cars shone the way the latest Honda HR-V did.

Experts believe that consumers are starting to become more enthusiastic about subcompact SUV vehicles. Considering the HR-V is a highly innovative subcompact SUV, Honda could break all records next year when the 2016 version of the car is launched.

"So much room in such a compact car!"

Drivers who are looking for a somewhat compact vehicle that still offers plenty of interior space are getting what they want from the 2016 Honda HR-V. According to those who were able to see the car from up close at the LA Auto Show, the petite-looking auto hides a very roomy interior.

Fitted with 60/40-split seat bottoms that are designed to be lifted so that large dogs or other big pieces of cargo can find room, the ingenious 2016 HR-V has its gas tank placed right under the driver's and front passenger's seats. According to experts, this design detail is what makes the car seem much roomier inside than what it looks on the outside.

Potency: HR-V's Middle Name?

Experts had a lot of praise for the HR-V's 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that has been upgraded from its predecessor. According to those who were able to drive the 2016 model, when combined with the apparently simple engine the car was fitted with, the car's design and cabin quality both shine, and the powerful vehicle rides as smoothly as a luxury model.

New Year, New Car

According to experts, the Honda CR-V and HR-V have dimension similarities, as well as similar equipment. When it comes to style and comfort, however, the HR-V beats the CR-V, making this vehicle the perfect family car for drivers who are into luxury, practicality, and strength.

When compared to other vehicles in the category, the HR-V is considerably larger and roomier than some of its competitors. The new vehicle's functional controls are not just practical, they are also great to look at. Drivers with a flair for technology will probably appreciate the HR-V for that quality.

But What about Safety?

According to the manufacturer, the 2016 HR-V is expected to perform well in crash tests carried out by both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Since the IIHS updated its crash tests, many new vehicles have been failing one particular test involving small overlap collisions, pushing automakers to develop vehicles with sturdier, more resistant structures.

While all of this talking may have gotten you even more enthusiastic about the new HR-V model, it will only be available nationwide in February.

Prices are yet to be defined.
