The DSG transmission or S-tronic system in Audi is a type of dual-clutch automatic transmission system. The system uses two discs to handle the transmission, one for odd and one for even-numbered transmissions. This enables the driver to shift gears smoothly and instantaneously, which improves the Audi's performance, efficiency, and driver engagement.

However, even the most efficient machinery can face malfunctions.
