Johannesburg, South Africa – With less than 4 months to go before the 5th edition of the auspicious Africa Health Exhibition & Congress scheduled to take place in the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, organisers are gearing up to host yet another robust gathering of healthcare professionals and medical experts from around the world who will engage in extensive discussions, debate, and networking from 5-7 May 2015.

Dubbed as the continent’s premier medical showcase, the event, which is organised by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, comprises of a three-day conference and exhibition featuring the latest medical innovations from local and international exhibitors. Africa Health 2015 will once again feature MEDLAB South Africa (the medical laboratory & IVD show) running alongside the event for the 5th year.

"Africa Health 2015 will further demonstrate that the healthcare sector in South Africa and the surrounding region is developing steadily and firmly. It has been our mission to create a global event that allows healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge, network, learn, share experiences, and focus on issues applicable to their profession. We have added more value to this year’s event by introducing a recruitment zone, a platform that caters to both employers and job seekers. This will provide the perfect opportunity for job seekers to meet and discuss their future career path with over 400 local and international healthcare institutes," says Simon Page, Managing Director, Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions.

The show will benefit both medical and non-medical professionals, as the region’s leading hospitals, clinics, suppliers and service providers will be present and actively looking to recruit healthcare professionals from all fields.

According to Page, "This year, four new conferences are included in the line-up, providing attendees with even more choices: Patient Safety, Public Health, Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation and Hospital Build. The event not only seeks to focus on healthcare matters, but also seeks to plough back to the local community by donating all proceeds from registrations for the 13 conferences to STEPS Foundation in South Africa."

Africa Health provides a platform to make inroads into the provision of efficient and effective healthcare services for the region.

Africa Health 2015 is supported by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), The Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa (COHSASA), the Alliance of South African Independent Practitioners Association (ASAIPA), and Diabetes South Africa.
