India is one of the largest democracies in the world. And, it has been a place with a great deal of history. Now, India has become one of the major communication hubs, and has several prestigious educational institutes, which attract students from all across the world. In India, emphasis is give on English, which is the common medium for communication, and this gives the educational institutes a global appeal. There is a lot of competition around, but the colleges have a quota for foreign students also. And, the courses offered by the colleges are various. School education:

Even at the school level, the education system is divided into three main segments, primary section, secondary section, and the senior secondary section. Then, there is the higher education. The elementary education includes around 8 years of education. The secondary level lasts for 4 years, and the senior secondary level is additional 2 years.

Higher Education:

The Higher education starts off after completing the senior secondary school, or the 12th Standard. Based upon what you choose to study, getting a degree might take anywhere between 3 to 5 years. Also, there are 13 Institutes of great national importance. The number of colleges and universities keeps growing, in a rapid manner.
