Rotary Save Soil Marathon 2026

On February 22, 2026, Chennai had an enthusiastic celebration of the Rotary Save Soil Marathon 2026. The event has a huge number of participants of all ages and groups. The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Chennai Lake City and managed by Sportena Academy. The event had a strong message of environmental responsibility, fitness and community unity. The main motto of the event is to Save Soil & Save Water by bringing together families, children and fitness enthusiasts to run for a green, sustainable future. The event had two categories: 5K and 10K, with reporting time at 5:30 AM and the race starting at 6:00 AM. The commitment to environmental awareness and early morning energy has created an inspiring atmosphere at the venue. The event T-shirts had a message symbolising save soil preservation and water conservation along with the bibs on their T-shirts. The initiative behind the event is collective responsibility for nature through their actions.

The distribution of saplings supported the core message of sustainability, encouraging runners to plant and nurture trees as part of their commitment beyond race day. T-shirts and Bibs were handled by Decathlon stores at Perungudi and Pondy Bazaar prior to the race day.
