For most corporate security services, door supervision is the first line of defense against terrorists or situations that may put the public in danger. Younger Employees in door supervision may lack FPOS training courses experience

Many employees, paid to provide door supervision, may not be familiar with some of the licensing policies. For example, nightclub bouncers may not know whether customers can take water or sealed drinks off the premises. Younger, less experienced employees may need additional training so they are prepared to handle potentially dangerous situations, such as serious overcrowding and possibility of a fight, fire, or mass hysteria.

Some FPOS training courses offered online may be cheap, but they also may not be taught be a certified instructor. Employees who provide door supervision should ask what certifications their instructors have and what proof they can provide. A genuine licensed instructor will not mind sharing proof if they are licensed to teach FPOS training courses.

While requiring those who provide door supervision to be licensed, some corporate security services firms may not have the same requirements of all employees. Those who are employed on behalf of some company’s security services may not have a criminal record; however, they also lack the experience of having years on the job. This is because some security services firms do not pay employees enough to retain their employees year after year. Anyone who does door supervision and must take FPOS training courses because it is required should consider these things before deciding to switch to another firm or pursue another security job.
