Why Dry Shampoos Should be in Your Routine for Perfect Hair care
Posted: Apr 21, 2015
It’s a great hair fix for those mornings where too buried deep in your dreams you didn’t hear your alarm go off and you’re already late for work just like yesterday. You can’t just go out into the world with literally a bad hair day. Dry shampoo has become popular for those who really don’t have the time to get in the shower or wash in the sink. All you do is sprinkle or spray, wait for it to absorb all the oil and may hairspray that you styled with yesterday and brush or blot it all out. It’s easy, convenient and water-free. But there’s absolutely more than just what it normally does because it helps you take care of your hair and scalp which normal washing can’t. Here’s why:
Washing too much strips of the natural oil
It’s a habit for people to take a shower and shampoo everyday especially for those in tropical countries. Some even cool themselves down with a good bath twice or thrice a day if time permits especially during the hot and humid summers. But water and shampoo doesn’t wash away the gunk, dirt and excess oil, it washes away everything leaving your hair dry and brittle especially when you don’t make it a habit to apply hair conditioner.
If you’re hair is wet, then you have to use a hair dryer
This will make your hair more brittle and frizzy eventually. Yes, maybe not right away when you’re still appreciating the volume and the fact that your hair stays in place after using the dryer. But in a few months or years, when you’ve incessantly been using it and you haven’t been applying moisturizers then you’d notice some problems like split ends. Limit the drying and just towel dry when you won’t have to go out of the house.
Daily washing and drying damages your hair
When your hair starts to dry out and becomes frizzy, with constant washing and instant drying, without moisturizing or conditioning, eventually hair problems will appear. Split ends, breakage, and even hair fall occurs. It helps to condition or apply hot oil to moisturize. Or better yet, once in a while, use dry shampoo to lessen the stress on your hair follicles and even your scalp.
It takes a good dry shampoo to be able to take away all the gunk, dirt and excess oil so wisely choose a good brand so you’ll get the best results.
