Cloud Computing companies like Amazon Web Services, Azure, Rackspace, Joyent, IBM Softlayer, etc are into the $110 billion cloud infrastructure market space. In addition to Infrastructure service, they are also into PaaS ( Platform as a Service ) and SaaS ( Software as a service ). These companies have developed their capabilities and expertise over the period of time. Cloud Infrastructure services has lot more to do than just servers. Companies have built features and products over the core cloud infrastructure to facilitate functionality.

Enterprises primarily look forward to Cloud provider comparison in terms of pricing differentiation, new product features, geographic server location preference, security, server performance, CDN features, user interface. Google Compute Engine(GCE), second largest to Amazon Web Services and second fastest growing cloud computing company. GCE also have categorized its products and features based on the computing capacity, storage, networking, big data. GCE’s products are Computing Engine, App Engine, Container Engine, Cloud Datastore, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Load Balancing, Interconnect, Cloud DNS, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub. GCE has the capacity to become leader in Cloud Infrastructure market and can surpass Amazon Web Services anytime. They have the advantage of fibre optical infrastructure over Amazon and can compete AWS on both pricing and performance. Cloud services comparison is driven by service and support efficiency which can be measured in terms of experience and reviews.

Azure, a Microsoft company has the advantage over other competitors due to its wide distribution network. Most of the enterprises use Microsoft products which make it compatible with Azure. AWS has the first mover advantage over other competitors. Next big leap will be taken by competitors, who can encourage innovation and bolster security issues
