Citigroup: '2016 to 2020 period to be supportive for gold'

Looking forward to the next five years, 2016-2020, gold could have more support to see a major rise. Right now, gold is suffering because "massive global central bank easing hasn't sparked inflation as was expected." Consumer prices in the United States have not changed in a full year, something odd, but not unheard of, reports Newsmax Finance.

Citigroup analyst Jon Bergtheil has predicted that gold will flourish more in 2016 on than it has in 2015. So far this year, gold has only risen 1% and it doesn't look like there will be a massive gain. The Fed has effectively put a cap on the metal because of its reluctance to raise interest rates. At this point, gold and other metals, are extremely vulnerable.

Looking forward to the next five years, 2016-2020, gold could have more support to see a major rise. Right now, gold is suffering because "massive global central bank easing hasn't sparked inflation as was expected." Consumer prices in the United States have not changed in a full year, something odd, but not unheard of.

Gold speculations have been relatively bullish in perspective and that trend doesn't seem to be ending soon. Hopefully, however, gold's downward trend will.
