I Didn't Build Another Feedback Tool. I Built the Public Feedback Board I Wanted as a Founder.

When I started building products, I thought collecting customer feedback would be easy.

I had emails.

I had Discord.

People replied on X.

Sometimes they even opened GitHub issues.

At first, it felt like I had plenty of user feedback.

But after a few months, I realized something strange.

The same feature request appeared three different times in three different places.

One user sent an email.

Another mentioned it on Discord.

Someone else replied to a tweet.

None of them knew the others had asked for exactly the same thing.

As a founder, I spent more time organizing feedback than actually understanding it.

Even worse, users never knew whether their suggestions were seen.

Some people asked twice.

Some gave up.

Most simply disappeared.

That's when I realized the problem wasn't collecting feedback.

The real problem was that customer feedback was scattered everywhere.

I wasn't looking for another customer support platform. Support tools are great for solving individual problems.

I wanted something different.

I wanted every user to see what others were asking for.

I wanted duplicate feature requests to disappear naturally.

I wanted people to vote instead of sending the same message over and over.

Most importantly, I wanted product decisions to become part of the conversation instead of happening behind closed doors.

That's why I decided to build FeedLog.

Instead of private conversations scattered across emails, Discord, and social media, every feature request lives in one public place.

Users can submit ideas, vote, discuss requests, and follow roadmap updates as the product evolves.

Unexpectedly, something interesting happened.

The public feedback board didn't just help us organize product feedback.

It completely changed user behavior.

When users could see existing ideas, they stopped creating duplicate requests.

When they saw roadmap updates, they trusted that feedback actually mattered.

When discussions became public, other users joined the conversation instead of sending isolated messages.

Product feedback became part of the product itself.

Today, I believe every growing SaaS should have a public place where users can contribute to its direction.

Not because transparency is trendy.

But because the best products are built together with their users.

If you're looking for a lightweight feedback tool to collect feature requests, organize product feedback, and build a transparent roadmap, that's exactly what FeedLog was built for.
