Modern civilization has become extraordinarily good at producing capacity.

Yet people remain surrounded by a contradiction:
Capacity can exist while access fails.
An aircraft can depart with usable seats still open. Cars move with empty passenger positions. Food approaches the end of its useful life while people elsewhere are hungry. An institution possesses information, yet a family must provide it again. A traveler enters a sophisticated transport network and still has to personally assemble almost every part of the journey.
The Trott Bailey Family’s response is not simply that civilization needs more resources.
It is that civilization often organizes the resources it already has badly.
