Transparent privacy controls are essential because health-related information can create significant risks if accessed or shared improperly.

The US fitness app landscape is progressing through smartphones, wearable devices, artificial intelligence, subscription coaching, and connected health platforms. Future development will depend on programme quality, user retention, data security, accessibility, and evidence-based guidance.
