As a content writer, daily life is a constant struggle between making yourself heard and finding the voice to put your point across.

Typically, writing as an art cannot be taught in any institution, but that does not mean it cannot to polished and molded.

The basic thing to follow while writing is, finding your original voice, every writer has a particular style or a voice of writing that sets them apart from the bunch; but finding your voice is work only half done. Writers need to constantly hone their writing curriculum and tweak it, adjusting to the emerging market trends. The later becomes easier once you find a voice.

Once you find a comfortable throne of writing, constantly evolving is your best way forward.

1. Tips to find your voice:

The best compliment I’ve received is, "When I read your posts, I can hear you talking." This for me is a great accomplishment because that’s exactly what a writer’s voice is.

"We are all apprentices in a craft where no can become a master." – Ernest Hemingway.

Any content produced from your intense nerve wrecking of a schedule should be original, your own and beautiful, kind of like a newborn baby.

No matter how good you think your first draft is, it usually isn’t; similar to a newborn.

The quickest way to get there is by finding the right voice.

2. Maintain a list of top five favorite writers

Writing is all about finding inspiration, by the most sincere form of flattery, imitation. Maintain a list of writers who you adore and respect for their way of writing.

Analyze their writing, notice how the article is staged, the formatting, use of the first sentence along with how the article ends and acute thing like how the call of action was conveyed across in the whole article.

Once done with this, try to write about the same topic in your own words. Explore the possibilities through your writing personality to carve out a styles you can call your own.

3. Research.

Now, once you have an own style, and numerous drafts worth of practiced articles, it’s time to research.

While researching, look for primary sourced material not citations or interpretations. Using industry trusted sources, try and connect with your readers, give them facts only after cross-checking.

For example, if you were to write about Web Designing in Mumbai, research ecommerce web design services offered by the company. Remember, Google is your friend, Wikipedia is not!

4. Write on one topic.

Once you get comfortably familiar with your style of writing, and the research is done, start penning.

It would often happen, as a writer, you would tend to deviate to various other subjects while talking about one in particular. Don’t! Stick to one topic and its underlying bottom-line. Any interruptions and distractions in the flow need to be ruthlessly edited out to make your article as concise as possible.

Do not over hype the article or out stretch the truth. Open with a good lead; construct contrarian points in a fascinating story, liven it up by little-known trivia or anecdote about the topic.
