Businesses are always in search of a place where they could keep their products/stocks because inventories are not always large enough to store products in abundance. The fierce competition prevalent in the market is also a reason why businesses always have to stay on their heels to keep producing products, just in case, if an order of large magnitude surfaces up. This is why they tend to stock up their inventory and more often than not are in need of a warehouse that could store the rest. This has put a lot of emphasis on warehousing services in Delhi, Chennai, Pune and other major cities of India.

Seeing this, a lot of companies have come up as a worthy candidate to be trusted for warehousing services, which makes it very difficult for businesses to make a choice. If one closely see, one would find that the most mandatory factor that has to be kept in mind while choosing a warehouse service provider is to see the surface area of the warehouse because you need a large warehouse to store your goods and it is an obvious possibility that others would also use the same space for their goods as well. In a way, that is right, ample land space should be the first priority when planning to choose a warehouse, but in reality, a warehouse should be a lot more than just land space. There are several other factors that have to be kept in mind as well, which are equally important, if not more.

Keep these factors in mind before choosing a warehouse

The most obvious factor that should cross your mind even before land space is the security of your goods against bugs, pests and insects, which possess the capability to destroy the goods. So, choose a warehouse provider that regularly fumigate its warehouse against these threats.

Another vital factor to give a thought to is the general security, which has to be of paramount quality. Choose a warehouse that secures itself not only with armed personnel but also with CCTV cameras, too.

What if the warehouse catches fire? What if the rain spoil the goods? These are the hazards that can happen almost any time. So check if the warehouse provider has the necessary solutions in case of these natural hazards.

Last but not the least, check if the warehouse is ERP enabled or not because being one would make it easier for you to keep track of your stocks any time, anywhere.
