What to Expect?

Like any other language test, the goal of this exam is to gauge your ability on different factors, you will have to focus on: Vocabulary, which includes words and characters; written test which involves listening; reading and in some levels writing; and lastly you will also be tested on oral capabilities This means that you will also be tested on grammar and comprehension to ensure that you have a good grasp of the language. Basically you will undergo two tests the written and oral one.

Today, there are actually around six levels. Level I rank is given to those people who have shown rudimentary skills 1n Chinese, while Level 2 rank is given to those who can apply the language to basic and daily lives use. The highest level which is Level 6 is for people who are able to express themselves smoothly in 中国語 and communicate fluently on different topics and subjects.

When Can You Take the Test and Where?

This 中国語検定 for language proficiency is held every year at test centers that are designated in and out of China. You can easily check for the list of HSK testing centers around your area on the HSK website. In some areas written test is given once a month depending on the location of the test. However, before you can take this 中国語 test, you must first register. Registration should be done 30 days prior to the actual test. Unlike other language test that would take months before results are given, this 中国語検定 for language proficiency is often distributed in less than two months after the actual test.
